Electronic Calibration Technician

Electronic Calibration Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform depot-level calibration, adjustments, and verification of Precision Test and Measurement Equipment, TMDE to include AC but not limited to low level DC
  • Process and maintain calibration data and records using our proprietary Supreme Metrology software in conjunction with our web-based gage management software
  • Achieve above-average customer satisfaction with a timely turn-around of customer equipment and service
  • Utilize IndySoft Commercial Lab Management software to document, generate reports, and equipment stickers as necessary
  • Train and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Follow engineering drawings, work order information, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to complete appropriate paperwork, maintain accurate records of production and report status of work
  • Perform calibration of automated precision inspection equipment and related metrology equipment at the customer’s site
  • Troubleshoot and correct any issues in the hardware and software function of the system
  • Write inspection routines and test installations to ensure systems are in proper working order
  • Communicate changes in instructions or wiring schematics to coworkers
  • Recommend any updates to procedures for accuracy and relevance
  • Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company

Requirements:

  • CNC machine knowledge
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time Monday to Friday
  • Familiar with a variety of machine tool brands and control types
  • Strong understanding of Metrology concepts
  • 3-5 Years relevant calibration experience required with formal PMEL training preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Suites, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word as well as Fluke MetCal, MetTeam and the ability to quickly adapt to other custom software platforms used in day-to-day calibration activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with clients and coworkers
  • Analytical skills for identifying and solving problems on-site at our client companies
  • Interpersonal Agility (flexing communication based on your audience)
  • Self motivated and has the ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Computer and software tools efficiency (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Understanding of technical documentation (i.e. ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation)
  • Good Mechanical Aptitude
  • Math skills required, in both English and Metric systems
  • Attention to detail, methodical and well organized
