Advanced Inspection Services has experience in QC inspection in many different industries with a wide variety of parts. Not all parts are equal nor do they all require the same equipment or inspection methods. You wouldn’t want someone who only has experience measuring large castings with +/-.03” tolerance to inspect your implantable medical device with +/-50 micro-inches of tolerance. When it comes to the expertise needed to inspect your unique parts, AIS stands alone. Our QA inspectors have experience in industries such as agricultural, automotive, aviation, defense, medical instruments, metal fabrication, recreational equipment, and others. Each industry has unique requirements when it comes to QC inspection, from documentation to part handling to measurement methodology. And not all industries use the same standards for inspection (i.e. ANSI, ASME Y14.5M, ISO 1101, JIS, MIL-STD, etc.). Our contact and vision inspection system can handle many sizes and precision parts.
Different measurement challenges for different industriesSmall parts
- High magnification needed (100x, 200x, 500x+)
- Special fixturing
- Multiple sensors may be needed (touch probe, laser, vision)
- Large scale CMM or portable CMM
- Special handling
- Ultra-high accuracy needed
- Form analysis (i.e. high accuracy roundness measurement)
- Environment (temperature, humidity, vibration, etc.) is critical
- Special handling and fixturing
- Vision inspection system, laser or other non-contact measurement
