AIS has 4 Brown & Sharpe CMM inspection tools (the largest has a measuring envelope of 47"x86"x39"). We also have a Platinum Faro Arm and a Romer Infinite Arm (portable CMM's) for on-site and x-large part inspection. All of our CMM’s are run by PC-DMIS, one of the most powerful and capable CMM softwares. |

We also have 2 Leitz PMM's which, along with our new climate controlled lab, takes AIS to the next level of precision measurement. (.6µ accuracy, .3µ repeatability) If CMM inspection has not provided enough accuracy for you tight-tolerance parts, you should take a look at the Leitz PMM. Our PMM’s have both PC-DMIS and Quindos for very advanced applications such as complex gears. |

In the lab there are 7 different vision inspection systems made by Optical Gaging Products. Many of our OGP vision systems have capabilities beyond optical measurement, such as touch probing and laser scanning. |

For tight-tolerance form measurements, we have a Mitutoyo RoundTest RA-2100 in our Ultra-Lab and a Mitutoyo Contracer for surface finish measurement. |

Of course, we also have a wide variety of hand tools and gaging equipment such as digital calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, pin gages, etc. We also have a growing inventory of Deltronic tenth pins as needed. |

When it comes to GD&T analysis, the ability to compare actual measured data directly with the CAD model is crucial for an accurate and efficient analysis. It’s also very critical that the software has the capability to analyze the data correctly. We use SmartProfile to evaluate complex GD&T. (Click here for a 2D example.
